Isabella Cilia

Isabella Cilia is a translator, editor, and independent researcher based between Dallas, Texas, and Bogotá, Colombia. Her research is invested in translation as a theoretical model for thinking about the co-creation of meaning between artists, artworks, and viewers. She holds a BFA in Visual Arts and is currently a curatorial assistant at the Museum of Modern Art of Bogotá (MAMBO) and an editor and translator with LA ESCUELA___. She was a recipient of the LeRoy Neiman Ox-Bow Fellowship and the Wassaic Project Arts Programming Fellowship, and served as the inaugural gallery fellow at Gloria’s Project Space in Ridgewood, Queens. Her translations, writing, and artist interviews have appeared in publications including Artishock Revista, VoCA Journal, and LA ESCUELA___.
